Ways to Embed a YouTube Subscribe Button on WordPress

YouTube Subscribe Button

Are you aware that WordPress powers nearly one-third of the world’s websites? Yes, that is the case, from small-scale intimate blogs to the websites of some of the biggest brands on the planet like BBC America, Variety, and Mercedes all use WordPress.

This is an exceptionally powerful platform that provides a wide range of facilities/features for professional and/or amateur users.

All types of users from private bloggers, dissertation help providers, and social media influencers to any and every major brand uses WordPress.

Here are some interesting facts about WordPress:

  • WordPress owns 61.8 % of market shares in CMS (Content Management System) platforms. This means that its shares exceed the total shares of all other platforms combined!
  • Despite the fact that around 35% of the internet is powered by it, WordPress continues to grow at a staggering pace. There are over one thousand WordPress camps in the world.
  • WordPress is available in over 100 languages.
  • It gets over 20 Billion-page views every month, while over 70 Million posts are published each month.
  • In the list of top 100 websites of the world, 15 percent are WordPress sites.

Benefits of Using WordPress

One of the most surprising things about WordPress is that it completely dominates its area of expertise in the web world. Many other websites offer similar services as WordPress like Joomla and Drupal. However, no brand matches up to the supremacy of WordPress. Why is that? Any brand that enjoys this level of domination should be doing something right. Here are four major benefits of using WordPress:

  • It is easy to use

We feel the number one reason is that no other service matches WordPress’ ease of use. You do not need some advanced technical skills to work with WordPress, however, services like Joomla and Drupal require certain command over HTML CSS, and PHP. On the other hand, you can work with WordPress despite having no understanding of programming or coding.

This is a key advantage for a beginner. Since, if you are a new user with a limited understanding of technicalities then you will always opt for the platform that is the easiest to use. WordPress understands the difficulties any beginner user will face in working on a CMS platform. It guides the user in the most effective way possible.

  • Insane Flexibility

It would not be wrong to describe WordPress as the Google of CMS platforms. Apart from the level of dominance, another stark similarity it has with Google is the level of flexibility it brings to the table. Since WordPress is used by all types of platforms from big corporation’s websites to small-scale businesses to personal blogs, it offers a diverse range of services to support each user’s needs.

It offers a wide range of themes, designs, and plug-ins for users to choose from. Whether you are envisioning a professional look for your business website or a warm dazzling look for your personal blog, WordPress has the right options for you to opt from.

  • High SEO ranking

Anyone with some basic understanding of digital marketing understands the importance of great SEO (Search Engine Optimization). High SEO ranking means that your website shows up at top of the list in Google search.

For example, when you type any celebrity’s name on Google then most probably the first link that shows up is a Wikipedia page, this means that Wikipedia’s SEO ranking is insanely good. That’s SEO for you in the simplest term and you must have realized that good SEO ranking is integral for any brand’s growth.

Using WordPress provides you with an edge in terms of SEO ranking because WordPress powered websites always score higher than any other website in SEO ranking. Better SEO means better marketing, better financial growth, and better popularity, using WordPress gives you better SEO ranking.

  • Large Community

Every online platform that happens to be the biggest brand in its market enjoys the advantage of having the largest community.

As we mentioned multiple times by now, WordPress powers one-third of websites, this means that more people are using WordPress for CMS than they are using any of its competitor brands. It is a free, open-source brand that has customers across the globe.

There are plenty of communities that can be super helpful for you when you start out on your journey with WordPress.

Adding a YouTube subscribe button in WordPress is a super easy process that does not take much time and can be done conveniently. If you type the question on Google, you will come across multiple ways of adding a YouTube subscribe button to your WordPress. However, there are two most popular and effective ways of getting that job done in an efficient way.

The two main ways to add a YouTube subscribe button to your WordPress site is through the custom HTML widget or through the WordPress plugin.

To Add the Subscribe Button with HTML:

  • Open Configure a Button page on Google Developers.
  • In the Options, fill out your channel name or ID and set up your display setting. The page will show you a preview of how your button will be appearing on the site.
  • Check the code field for the code. It is there right? Now copy that code.
  • Now, sign-in to your WordPress account.
  • On the WordPress Dashboard, select Appearance > Widgets.
  • Select the Custom HTML option in the Available Widgets, now drag and drop that widget to your area of choice.
  • Now as you are in the Custom HTML window, select a title for your subscription button widget and now finally paste the copied code in the Content area.
  • Click Save, and then click Done.
  • Preview your page to see how the to subscribe button appears on it.

The second way of adding a YouTube subscribe button to your page is by using a plug-in. In some ways, this might be an easier option for most people as you do not have to do much manually. The plug-in will take care of things for you. We used Easy Subscribe Button Widget and would recommend that plug-in for you too.

To add a YouTube Subscribe Button Using a Plugin:

  • Install Easy Subscribe Button Widget.
  • Activate the plugin by using options Plugins > Add New.
  • Select Appearance > Widgets.
  • In Available Widgets, there is YouTube Subs widget. Drag and drop this widget to your desired place.
  • In the YouTube Subs window, fill in the title, channel name or ID, and settings for your button display.
  • Click Save, then click Done.
  • Preview your page to see if it looks fine.

Applying one of these two methods will surely accomplish your goal of adding a YouTube subscribe button in WordPress.
